Overview

You can add the subscription form block to any page or post to encourage readers to keep up-to-date on your content. Once readers have followed your blog, they can elect to receive an email each time you post, or to receive daily or weekly digests of all of your new posts. They can also elect to receive no emails, but to read your posts in the WordPress.com Reader.

Here's an example of how it can look (although the layout depends on your theme and the settings you choose):

Subscription Form Block Settings

Once you have added a Subscription Form to your page or post, you can change the button text by clicking directly into the button. In addition, you can modify its appearance in the block's sidebar settings:

Color Settings

You can choose the text and background colors for your buttons as well as the border color.

Select colors that will make the button stand out and make sure to find a nice contrast for readability purposes. Accessibility parameters are built into the new editor to warn you when the text may become illegible for persons with reading impairments.

Text Settings

Adjust the size of the button text, using our presets or controlling with a custom size.

Border Settings

Want a rounder button? The border radius option allows you to give your buttons a more rounded appearance. Setting this to 0 means the button has sharp edges. The border weight options makes the line around the button bolder.

Spacing Settings

Adjust the padding within the button as well as between the email sign-up area and the button.

Display Settings

Select Show subscriber count to display the number of followers:

Move the button below the sign-up form by selecting Place button on new line:
